The top level domains
The top-level domains are classified under two categories :



  •   the generic domains :

    .biz = businesses
    .com = trading organizations
    .info = information sites or services
    .museum = museums
    .name = individuals
    .net = network services
    .gov = governments
    .edu = educational institutions
    .mil = military
    .int = organizations established by international treaties between governments
    .org = other organizations

  •  the country code domains :

    The codes used by IANA are the two-letter codes belonging to the ISO 3166-1. This list includes the one of the WIPO Standard ST-3. (Please refer to our page "The industrial property in the world" for the details in connection with the corresponding domain names). It is completed by the following geographical entities :
