In Italy, as from December 15, 1999, any European company of association can obtain registration of an unlimited number of domain names in .it, and, as from January 15, 2000, the registration is open to all the European Union citizens, without requiring a V.A.T. number (limited to one address). So, every individual can obtain the registration in Italy of all domain names he wants.
Our Italien correspondants advise to register in .it the names of the marks filed and registered and, for the new trademarks, to apply simultaneously for the registration of a domain name.
