Presentation

Established in 1985, Cabinet Chaillot is an Industrial Property law firm. Its activity is the filing, the getting and the defence of industrial property rights, mainly for patents, trademarks and designs. It is certified ISO 9001 on 17/01/2001. It was the first French Industrial Property law firm to obtain the certification.

It is member of French, European and Community professional chambers of Industrial Property. The Attorneys of Cabinet Chaillot are authorized to represent their clients in France and in Europe before:
- the French Patent and Trademark Office (INPI), for the filings and procedures of French patents, trademarks and designs
- the European Patent Office (EPO), for the filings and procedures of European patents
- the Community Trademark and Design Office (OHIM – Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market), for the filings and procedures of Community trademarks and designs

Cabinet Chaillot is also a member of the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA).

The team

The team of Cabinet Chaillot is composed of graduated engineers, covering a patent activity in all the technological fields: mechanics, chemistry, pharmacy, biology, electronics, electro-technics, optics, telecommunications, computer sciences, computer-implemented inventions.

Geneviève CHAILLOT

Geneviève Chaillot read Chemistry in the Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Industrielle de Lyon, Lyon University, and graduated as Dpl. Ing. in 1973. She graduated in law the following year at the International Industrial Property Study Center (CEIPI at Strasbourg) in 1974, Strasbourg University, and became Industrial Property Attorney, member of the French Institute of IP Attorneys (CNCPI). She consecutively joined two Parisian agencies from 1974 to 1985, where she specialized in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicine, Pharmaceuticals and also Mechanics (manufacturing process and related tools, general and precision mechanics, etc.), which still are her patent specialities.

Geneviève Chaillot created Cabinet Chaillot in 1985. She is French Industrial Property Attorney, European Patent Attorney, and representative before the OHIM.

Julie DESROIS

Julie Desrois read Chemistry and Physics and got a BSc. Chemistry/Physics from the Haute Alsace University in 1994. She then read Chemistry in the Ecole Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse, Haute Alsace University, and graduated as Dpl. Ing. in 1997. She graduated the following year in law at the International Industrial Property Study Center (CEIPI at Strasbourg) in 1998, Strasbourg University, and became French Industrial Property Attorney, member of the French Institute of IP Attorneys (CNCPI). Her Patent Specialities are Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Mechanics .

Julie Desrois is employed by Cabinet Chaillot since 1998 and works in the patent, trademark and design fields. She is French Industrial Property Attorney, European Patent Attorney (EPA), representative before the OHIM, and is also quality control engineer.

Nicolas DUFAY

Nicolas Dufay read Physics and Electronics in the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Caen, Caen University, and also studied Telecoms in Dublin City University, Ireland, and graduated as Dpl. Ing. in 2002. He graduated with a Masters in Digital Electronics in 2004, from Paris XII Orsay Université. His patent specialities are Software, Electronics, Mechanics, Optics and Mechatronics. He graduated in law at the International Industrial Property Study Center (CEIPI at Strasbourg) in 2006.

Nicolas Dufay is employed by Cabinet Chaillot since 2004, and is French Industrial Property Attorney and European Patent Attorney (EPA).

Denis CHAILLOT

Denis Chaillot read Mechanics in the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers, Cluny, and graduated as Dpl. Ing. in 2006. He also graduated the same year with a Masters of Science in Aerodynamics, from Paris VI University. He graduated in law at the International Industrial Property Study Center (CEIPI at Strasbourg) in 2008. His patent specialities are Mechanics (automotive, manufacturing process, general and precision mechanics) and Aerodynamics.

Denis Chaillot is employed by Cabinet Chaillot since 2006, and is French Industrial Property Attorney.

Gaëlle ADAM

Gaëlle Adam read Law at the University of Rennes, where she graduated with a Master in Intellectual Property Law in 2006. She deals with legal aspects in patent, trademark and design procedures and with contracts.

Gaëlle Adam joined Cabinet Chaillot in 2007, as Legal Practitioner.

Aude LESOT

Aude Lesot read Mechanics and Material Mechanics in the Ecole des Mines d’Alès, and graduated as Dpl. Ing. in 2009. Her patent specialities are Mechanics (general and precision mechanics) and Material Mechanics.

Aude Lesot joined Cabinet Chaillot in 2009, as Industrial Property Agent.

Pierre PERNOT

Pierre Pernot read Biology in the Ecole Polytechnique de Paris, and graduated as Dpl. Ing. in 2004. He also graduated in 2005 in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie Paris. In 2009, he graduated as a Doctor in Neurosciences from Université Paris XI. His patent specialities are Biology, Chemistry and Mechanics (general and precision mechanics).

Pierre Pernot joined Cabinet Chaillot in 2009, as Industrial Property Agent.
