EUTMs registered as of 01/01/2021 will be automatically cloned into identical UK registered trademarks, without any official fee to be paid. No action is required from the owner. Pending EUTM applications as of 01/01/2021 will not be automatically cloned into identical UK trademark applications. If protection in UK is required, a corresponding UK trademark application will need to be filed, with normal official fees and a normal UK trademark registration process. The UK trademark application will keep the original EUTM priority/filing dates only if the UK trademark application is filed before 30/09/2021.
