DABUS patent: EPO refuses patent applications with a machine as inventor

EPO considers that the requirement of designation of inventor was not met.


According to <link https: www.epo.org news-issues news external-link-new-window internal link in current>EPO, the inventor designated in a European patent application has to be a human, not a machine. A motivated decision from EPO is expected in January 2020.
