Montenegro became the 23rd state to join the London Agreement. Since 1 August 2025, it is no longer necessary to produce a Montenegrin translation of the European patent specification if the patent is granted in English or if an English translation of the patent is produced in accordance with the conditions laid down in Article 65(1) EPC. Only the translation of the claims into Montenegrin is required for validation.
